I took a bit of a hiatus from the blogging thing but I am back today! My husband and I had a fun-filled weekend in Brooklyn, NY. We went for the ACC Championship game and had a blast.

Ended the day with a workout with friends. It was an arms day. It also happened to be a snow day which was awesome. I honestly relaxed all day until it was time for the gym and lucky for me, the roads cleared up so I could go.
We woke up early and decided to go to spin class together before heading to the city. We dropped off our pup at my parent’s house for the evening and drove to the big apple. We started off the trip with a delicious lunch at Al Di La in Brooklyn. I went light with a warm faro salad. Normally we like to walk around and explore but it was way too cold for that. We would walk for 5 minutes and stop into Everyman’s Espresso. I got a yummy turmeric and ginger tea and the husband got a mocha which I had to photograph. We walked a bit more and then before we knew it, it was time for dinner. We went to Patsy’s Pizza and shared a pizza and I had a glass of wine. The game was starting at 9 and we found ourselves getting crammed by people waiting for a table at Patsy’s. We had passed The Chocolate Room while we were exploring earlier in the day so we made our way there for dessert. If you like chocolate, this place is somewhere you HAVE to visit. Perfect desert! The game was so fun and it was awesome spending the whole day with my husband.
Daylight savings time kicked our butts and we woke up at 9. My husband’s team had a practice back at home we needed to get to in the afternoon. We packed up and decided to find a place for breakfast sandwiches. We both went with coffee and bacon, egg, and cheese sandwiches which we took to go. When my husband was at practice, I worked out and had the gym all to myself! It felt good to just unwind by myself. We went grocery shopping and then spent the night on the couch watching our favorite show.
I hope you all had a great weekend, too! It looks like it is going to be horrible snow tomorrow so I may be posting a snow day workout for you. Stay tuned!
Question of the Day:
How was the weekend for you? Do anything fun and exciting?
